When setting up my Garmin 45s forerunner device it pairs with the app sync and then freezes, where is asks you question on height ect. I’ve deleted app and started again each time the same thing happens, any ideas would be great

Is this a new Forerunner? Which iPhone do you have? I haven't had this issue. If I did, I would have done what you already did. Taking it a step further, uninstall the app, restart the phone and your 45S, then try again. If still no joy, could be something wrong with the watch, which could be fixed with a reset to factory defaults and/or contacting Garmin Support.
Another thing to try is syncing via Garmin Express to download any updates to the watch. Also check that you have the latest Garmin iOS app, which is v 4.32 as of June 23rd.
Yes the new forerunner I’ve done full restarts and resets twice and nothing. My phone is the iPhone XR. Thank you so much for helping.
Did you connect with Garmin Express? If so and you're sure you've done the factory reset, then next step I'd suggest contacting Garmin directly via phone (fastest service) or chat.
Likely they would have you do the factory reset again, then go from there.
