Garmin Connect must be restarted to reconnect with Fenix 6X

When I leave my office and keep iPhone there, my Fenix 6X tries to connect to iPhone several times (according to distance from my office). It is okay, that devices are most of the time disconnected. However, when I return back to my office and to my iPhone, Fenix 6X stay disconnected. Only way, how to restore connection, is to restart (shut down and open again) Garmin Connect on iPhone.

This behavior makes synchronization (and notifications) almost unusable (I leave my office many times a day), it is not possible everytime I return back take iPhone, shut down Garmin Connect and open it again.

Do you have same problem?

  • I have frequent sync issues with garmin connect on ios13.5 with vivoactive 4s on the latest firmware.

    Restarting connect does not always help or it takes too long. Restarting the phone/watch helps for 1 or 2 days.

  • I have the exact same problem. I have to force quit the GCM and start it again in order for the watch to reconnect.

    I have an iPhone 8 with iOS 13.5.1, GCM 4.31.2.1, Fenix 6X with 9.96 beta (same problem was present with 9.00 release), AND/BLE/BT 5.04.

    This issue has been around for a while. Driving me crazy.
