Unable to associate shoes with run

I added a new pair of running shoes to the Garmin Connect app on June 4th, 2020.  I ran with the shoes on June 4th but I can't associate the shoes with the 06/04 run. Even though the shoes show as being added to the app on June 4th and my run was on june 4th they don't show up as available on  June 4th.  However, they show available on June 5th.  Is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?
