Device Connected but won't Sync

Since yesterday's bug fix, my VivioActive3 is connected (receives notifications from my iPhone XR, shows as "connected" in Connect App) but my history is gone and my watch won't sync.

I have tried all of the troubleshooting techniques, forget device, re-pair, reboot watch, reboot phone, turn off bluetooth, turn bluetooth back on, and nothing happens. It says Device Connected but refuses to sync.

Is this a known bug?? The world is falling apart, and I'm devestated to have lost my running history. SOS Pleae help!

This has also happened to me too today and yesterday. I have a vivoactive 3 which hasn’t logged a cycle from yesterday or a run today. I had to re login to garmin connect but that hasn’t changed anything. I have also disconnected and reconnected to strava and again that hasn’t solved this issue. Please can someone help?

I downloaded Garmin Express from the website, connected my watch to my laptop, and that seems to have restored the syncing problem between watch and phone. BUT my historical data is still gone. The connect app shows only the data that was on my watch, so this week's workouts, but doesn't show my personal records or the 900 other miles I've logged. How do I restore historical data? Is this why people connect to Strava, because Strava is more reliable?
