Strava sync

i a fenix 5 and today went for a ride and forgot to press go on the watch, but phone automatically recorded it in strava. Is it possible for strava to write stats etc automatically to Garmin Connect? I have disconnected the apps and re connected and I cannot get it to work. Please help!

Might be possible if you can export the file out of Strava as a GPX file. Might need to run it through a 3rd party tool like plotaroute or fitfiletools to make it play nice with Garmin Connect.

Ok that helps - does it not do it automatically?? Like it syncs with strava?

No it's a one-way sync from Garmin to Strava. Once you have the file, manually import it into Garmin Connect here: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/import-data.
