Forerunner 645 won’t charge

My Garmin 645 won’t charge, looks like there was a recent upgrade 2 days ago on iOS. this happened a couple of months ago, and I tried a soft reset then, and then eventually it started charging. I tried this again but it still won’t charge

This issue should be independent from the Garmin Connect app. Can you plug your device via USB cable directly to a USB wall charger?
