Steps reset after a run but my run remained in my history

After a run my steps reset themselves to zero. I’m on a 34 day streak on my step goal and had to go out again to get to my goal.
Why did this happen? Will it happen again?

It has happened to me twice in last 2 days I’m well annoyed

Did you ever solve this? I had over 19,000 steps and my Vivoactive 3 just reset to 0
