My garmin forerunner watch says I achieved 11369 steps but the garmin app states 11141 steps for same day! Why the difference ?

As stated above there is a difference between app and watch for the same day. Watch states 11,369 steps the app states 11,141? Frustrating thing is my target was 11,310! Why difference both Garmin
