Bluetooth link broken between Fenix 6 and App running on iOS 13.4

Hello,

My new Fenix 6 (SW v 8.10) seems to be properly connected to my phone (iOS 13.4) using the Garmin app (v4.29.1.1), but when i get away from the phone for a couple of minutes the Bluetooth link is lost and it doesn't reconnect by itself, so i need to restart the applicaction or the bluetooth connectivity in the phone. Then is recover untill the next time.

This happened at the begining with my Fenix 5 also, but it was solved after one of the SW updates.

Please, can you give me some advice about how to solve the issue?

Many thanks

My too. same versions of Fenix SW, iOS and Garmin Connect.

Phone says it is connected but Connect fails to see it so unable to sync.

I'm not sure if it is an iOS or a Garmin problem though. I suspect iOS 13.4.

  • The Bluetooth connection is not broken it seems, as I am receiving my smartphone notifications just fine. Looks like a Garmin app issue more than an iOS/BT issue. How hard can it be to just have things working after updates instead of breaking stuff. It totally defeats the purpose of pushing updates out.

SOLVED!!!. I think i solved this issue, or at least is not happening since 3 days ago. I had a software update (something related to maps) downloaded but not installed in the watch. I connected the watch to the computer using Garmin Express to update all the software components and now it's working fine, reconnects by itself once the phone is close to the watch. I'll keep an eye on it, but it seems is solved
