STAIRS NOT BEING RECORDED ACCURATELY.

Received my vivoactiv3 on Friday, but it’s not recording flights of stairs accurately.

I’ve just gone up and down my stairs 10 times. However, it’s only recorded 7 as going up and 8 coming down!

I already been up and down my stairs 3 x prior to that!

It is way out!

Also yesterday, it’s saying I ascended 10 x and descended 17 times!

I am up and down my stairs at least 30 x a day!

I have the same issue at my house. My office is upstairs. My bedroom is upstairs. My kitchen is downstairs there’s at 12 stairs up. Today I only show two and I’ve been up and down the stairs probably 10 or more times today. Looking forward to see how to fix us.

... also - if the steps are the usual average of 7.5 inches (19cm), or anything else less than 25cm, then the 12 steps are too few, since the total for 12 steps would be less than 3m. The floors need to be at least 3m (or 10 feet) high to be counted. You'd need to add some extra elevation after each such climb - for example by slowly rising your arm with the watch while you continue doing steps (to simulate the stairs climbing).
