Garmin Connect vs Connect iQ

Hi,

I have a question which should be like a FAQ but cannot find an answer. Do I need both connect and connect iq or I can use only connect iq? It seems the IQ is a newer app, but not sure if I am assuming it correctly.

Garmin Connect is where your data is kept. Connect IQ is where you can get access to additional watch faces widgets, apps etc.
