My new garmin forerunner 235 won’t connect to GPS for my runs. How can I fix this or should I return? Thanks

It is hard to know without knowing what steps you have taken.

make sure to go outside in an open area; not close to high buildings or a lot of trees
start an activity. Wait for GPS Signal to lock (read manual) This could take several minutes first time.
if still no luck, then contact Garmin Support. Not this forum
