miles instead of kms on the screen but is still km on the app!!!

Just purchased a forerunner 45 and having the same problem, at first thought I just couldn’t find the correct setting but I’m now sure it’s a fault !

Mine has just changed- for the last few months it’s been kms - just don’t know how it changed!!

Weirdly after trying to change it for last few days unsuccessfully, I have just looked at my watch and it now shows kms!! Wondering if this was something fixed by garmin??

Hmm, I’ve bought my Forerunner 45 a couple of weeks ago and am still trying to solve this problem... I’ve all settings (as far as I can figure out) to metric, both in the App as well as on my watch but my watch shows in its overview miles. I hope some magic will also happen to me ;-)

Since two days a miracle happened to my watch. Now I only see km and no miles anymore!!! Fingers crossed; it stays like this...

Very annoying for you...and not promising for my upcoming situation (which follows the same logic as you described so far with the exception it is ok since 2 days)

Global settings such as metric or statute distances are best done on Garmin Connect Web under display preferences - https://connect.garmin.com/modern/settings/displayPreferences

Make sure global settings are maintained there and then they should populate to Garmin Connect Mobile and your device.

My watch show km but app still shows in miles even after switching it exactly how it says to switch it. Frustrating. I expect more from a garmin as I already have the series 6 Apple watch
