Garmin Connect not syncing MyFitnessPal calories

I enter meals in MyFitnessPal and when I sync Garmin Connect the calories do not appear in the Calories In/Out tile on My Day.  When I go to the Calories In/Out page in Garmin Connect, I have to pull down on the screen to force and sync and consumed calories appear but sometimes the number of consumer calories does not match the consumed calories in MyFitnessPal.   I disconnected and reconnected the apps but nothing changed.  I am using an iPhone 10 with iOS 12.4 (won't upgrade to 13s given issues), Garmin Connect version 4.26.0.20 and MyFitnessPal version 19.12.6.276367.

  • Although this post is regarding weight syncing between Garmin Connect and MyFitnessPal, the fix should be the same.

I’m having the exact same issue.  Syncing has not been working.  Either partial or no sync at all.  Disconnecting/Reconnecting from both apps has not solved the problem.  A Garmin Connect update was released 6 days ago, 1/7/2020 (4.26).  This was followed by a MyFitnessPal update released 5 days ago, 1/8/2020 (19.12.6).  My syncing has been incorrect since 1/9/2020.

Thank you for the link.  Unfortunately going through the steps did not solve the problem.

I have the same issue.  It will work if I do a manual sync from the phone or the web.  It will get new calories from MFP at that time, but I would hope it to be automatic.  When I add to MFP, it shouldn't need a manual update in GC for it to get data from MFP... am I missing something?  Is this actually how it is supposed to work?  I'm pretty new to Garmin but I've used MFP forever... I'd love to use GC as my main hub, but this is a big item preventing me from using it as such

I did go through the settings as suggested by seilogramp... it works, but only manually... also, it doesn't sync any data from a previous day, which I find really disheartening

  • Same problem here. I’ve logged out, deleted both apps, restarted the phone. Still no dice. It seems that Garmin isn’t reflecting when I delete a good item in MFP. But does count the item if I add a food in MFP.

  • I have the same issues. Seems like the consumed calories are not updated currently if I delete a meal from MFP. Did anyone find a fix for this?

  • was this problem ever solved?  I can only get calories consumed on my Garmin Connect phone app by doing a manual sync
