Garmin edge 810 connection issue

  • Garmin connect says device connection error when I try to sync my edge 810. I have an iPhone 11pro on IOS 13.2.2.

    I’m having the same issue.  Connects just fine but fails to sync. iPhone  11 Pro Max.  

    Edge 810- version 6.30

    IOS- 12.2.2

    Connect App - 4.24.2.2

  • I am having the same issue with my Garmin Edge 510 v6.10 using iPhone 6 Plus with IOS 12.x.y however, Garmin Connect app was updated automatically to 4.24.2 and since then I have not been able to upload any ride either by syncing or by using the upload ride feature on the Garmin. I have been using my Garmin Edge 510 for 6 years so I have tried everything.  Disappointed!

  • We are aware of the issue with the Edge 510/810 and not syncing. We are working on a resolution and I will provide an update when one is available. The current workaround is to sync with Garmin Express. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

    Ok - so what caused the issue? When is it likely to be resolved? Plenty of other products on the market you know, and why not publicise the issue, it cant be isolated!

  • UPDATE - We have identified the issue and the fix has been submitted to Apple.  This fix will come in the next Garmin Connect Mobile update (4.25.1) and is scheduled to be released by next week.

    I was having the same issue and plugged mine into the computer to sync with garmin express, which worked once, but now my 510 files are all corrupted and will not upload on express either.

    I have the same issue and want to avoid purchasing a new device like Wahoo! that doesn't have this issue... please resolve soon or you will loose another customer!

  • Thank you for your response. Looking forward to uploading and sharing my rides very soon. I have been a big fan of Garmin for over 10 years.

    I received an update for Garmin Connect App to rev. 4.24.014 yesterday and the issue with sync with my Garmin Edge 810 is not resolved.

  • Hey guys, so updated to 4.25.1 today on my iPhone  and still not syncing.

    Do I need to delete and reinstall? Or delete the Bluetooth connection and reconnect?
