I’ve been trying to get Garmin to help me with this for 2 weeks.  I’ve already returned one Venu to Best Buy and got a replacement Venu.  The weather widget still does not work properly with iOS 13 devices.  I think it would help all of us if your also sent an email to Garmin support so they can track ok how many of us this is really affecting.

But yes, this does seem like a firmware or software issue with phones running iOS 13 and above.

I have reset the phone and my Fenix 6 and no resolution.

I have a spare Android device and I did a clean pair and sync with it and what do you know...everything works perfectly!
not happy spending AUD$1,100 to have a phone that doesn’t do what it’s meant.
    1. weather does not work

    2. Syncing issues where I have to reset Bluetooth.

would be great if at least Garmin acknowledged the issue and indicated what they were doing to resolve the issue and the timeframe.

Oh well, with Google purchasing Fitbit for $3b!, I wonder what that competition will bring?

I’ve had the venu for two days and am facing similar issues with the weather app.
it would be reassuring to hear from the company if this is a known issue and they are working on it.

I really think it would help to have everyone send in emails to their support staff.  They are NOT monitoring our forums, so the more emails and complaints they get, perhaps the quicker they will resolve the issue.

    I have done the following:

    1.  Using Garmin express updated the software of the watch to version 3.50.
    2. Reset the watch.
    3. Deleted the Garmin connect app and then reinstalled it.
    4.  Paired the watch again.
    5. Now the weather app is working fine.
    6. I will update what happens to it by tomorrow

  • That doesn't work.  Mid November fix through GCM.   Your temperature will not change and eventually you will once again get waiting for data.  Please don't post these "fixes" immediately after doing them.  Post results 24 hours later.  This causes people a lot of wasted time.

    This bug affects IOS only.

That seems like good info.  If Garmin would acknowledge there is an issue and come out and say they are working on it, I could be a little more patient.  I'm assuming you got through to the Garmin Support folks and they were candid with you.  Good for you.  Garmin Support just keeps sending me the same online "iOS  13 Instructions" from their website, and like you said, they do not help at all.

If any Garmin Support guys are reading this...  come on, fellas....  it's a $400 watch and from a layman's perspective the Weather Widget should be the one of the easier of things to figure out.
