Is GCM version 4.24.0.17 a big mess

I would say yes I am waiting for release that fix connection problem.

A typical day I go around hiking my Fenix 6x does the job and record a nice trace. Back home I cannot sync with GCM iOS 13.

But IOS is not the problème the Watch is connected to my iPhone 8s.

So I try to synchronise with Explore and it works like a charm.

This realy point GCM fault.

But close mémorial day I restarted my old Fenix, yes from 2012...

not supported by GCM, but it connects to my phone.

And even better on the following GCM start I was invited, by the app to complete setting of my Fenix. But It does not propose synching.

Today I was using it along with my Fenix 6x... and at the end off my walk.....Yes it synchronise to GCM right away. For my Fenix 6 I had to use a cable.  Funny 4.24.0.17....it’s time for working 4.25.  i am french so excuse my rusted english.

We already cry all week about the latest version of GC so good-morning :)))

  • It would seem even Garmin are now acknowledging the train wreck.

Support have given up with the barrage of useless things to try and settled down to requesting log files and that we wait for the next version to be released.

I would still recommend opening a support ticket and adding your data to their analysis - may help them find the solution, but will at least ensure you have an email telling you once the issue has been addressed.

In the meanwhile - cable or wifi sync for activities - live with the other bits (various people seem to be loosing different components of functionality)

Be happy you have only just noticed this - it saves you hours of testing temporary fixes!
