My VA3 is now useless after i bought a iPhone..

Hi,

So i just made the switch from Android to iOS. On the Android Connect app i could turn on or off notifications on the VA3 for the apps installed on my phone. On iOS i dont have these options in the Connect app. From what i understand the only way to turn off notifications is to turn off the notifications for the app itself, meaning i wont recieve notifications from the specified app on my phone.

Yes, i could just leave it be and recieve all the notifications but it would just be too annoying. Lets say someone is writing to me on Snapchat. That means i will first get a notification on my watch saying "x is typing a message..." then i will get a new notification saying "one unread message".

I just want a notification for when i recieve a new email, sms, phone call and a reminder. Is that too much to ask...?

Kinda wanna sell the watch now....

Agreed, it would be really nice to be able to enable or disable notifications on a per-app basis. Fitbit allows this on iPhone, so there's no technical limitation preventing it. I didn't realize Garmin already did it on Android. It's odd that it's not supported on iPhone as well.

Raise it as a request via Garmin Support e.g. email [email protected]

If you dig around a bit you will see that this is not a limitation of Garmin Connect on iOS. It is a limitation of what 3rd party developers get access to on iOS. So you may want to contact Apple as well as Garmin asking for support for the feature.

I don't think this is true. Fitbit allows per-app notification settings on iPhone.
