Connect battery drain because always run on background

iPhone battery drain with latest upgrade

The app is running in the background 1h every hour

This is the graph during last night

I have exactly thes same issue. Battery usage on my iphone indicates that Garmin Connect mobile app is using a lot of battery, just by running in the background. I am using iOS 12.4.2 (most up to date version on an iPhone 6). GC mobile app version is 4.23.3.4.

With Connect Version 4.25.2.1 and iOS 13.3 same now. Please fix!

I had that issue with the latest version of the app as well, what fixed it for me was that I allowed location services and started the app once, then denied location services again.
