I got an alert on my fènix 5 yesterday. It said “HR Monitor Battery is low” during a run . Is that a glitch? It’s the HR Strap sold as a Performance Bundle.I’m not sure if I’m supposed to detach it from the HR Strap.

Not sure which HR Strap you have but all the chest HRMs I am aware off have a user replaceable "coin" battery that needs to be replaced about every year, depending on use. Depending on the model the HRM can normally be detached from the strap, and then there is a battery cover on the back for replacing the battery. Not sure if that is what you are referring to?
I think the Garmin HRM Run, Tri, Swim have a slightly different battery change procedure which you can see on the below links.
@The Salamander,
Thank you. I have the Garmin Tri HR Strap. It’s very new to me because my previous Garmin was the FR220. That HR Strap had the Snap-on HR Monitor.
I’ve only had my fénix 5 and Tri HR Strap since late July. It wasn’t paired until August so I’m surprised to get the “Low Battery” message. Thanks for the links. I’ll check them out so I can change out the battery.
Thanks again!
