When dialing outbound, I get a new "Active Call" message on my Fenix5. How to kill that?

Any time I make an outbound call now (iOS 13, iPhone 11 Pro Max), my watch is getting a vibrate and message saying "Active Call". I'm literally dialing the phone - I KNOW. This is a distraction I don't need. Is there a way to adjust what messages I get a watch notification on and which I don't? This particular one has to be one of the silliest thus far. It probably even tops the one I had been getting that would say "check out these templates..." but told me nothing of what templates it was talking about or the source of the alert.

  • That’s a function of iOS. I’ve seen it on my vivoactive 3 with iOS 13 for quite a while.

I logged feedback with Apple, but haven’t gotten a response (not that I expect one).

Maybe Garmin can do something to suppress the message, but it will require a firmware update.

I'm getting this too and it stays active for the duration of the call.   Very annoying.  Can Garmin confirm this is NOT consuming resources?   My vioactive 3 is supposed to have 7 days of battery life and I'm struggling to get 3.  :-(

  • I get the same issue. Only happened when I installed the latest update. I'd be happy to go back to IOS 12 if I could figure out how to do that. It never happened with 12.
