Option « Copy to Connect » disappeared since last update (4.23). I can’t import GPX files anymore

Hello,

I am using GC very often with EasyRoute to draw the routes I want to take during my runs/rides before sending it to my watch (FR935).
However, since last update (4.23.0.22), I can’t import GPX routes into Garmin Connect through the “Copy to Connect” share option.
Could you restore the share function in the next update?

Thanks for your help,

I am using latest Garmin Connect (4.23.0.22) on iOS 13.0 with an iPhone XR

Not working for me. Just been on chat and told that ‘There isn’t an option to do this, only create a course in the app itself.’

Massively disappointed as a user on iOS. Only workaround I have found is to import into the online Garmin connect courses section and it then appears in the connect app.

    Very disappointed.

  • This is major BS. Why would I create a new route inside the clunky Garmin app when it's already available elsewhere easily. Garmin needs to step it up and allow this import ability directly inside it's own app if that is indeed their official response. Not cool and frankly it's just lazy.

On a personal note I updated to 4.23.3 a few days ago and Garmin Connect wasn't able to see my GPX files inside the Files app but it showed it was available to import by Topo Maps app. I then deleted the Topo Maps app and Garmin Connect starting showing up as an option to import GPX files so for me it seems to be working.

  • Is working...delete all Navi/Sport aplications that can open gpx files in the share menu.

Garmin Connect must be the only app that can open gpx files and it will work....strange anyway

    Thanks Boomcha

  • Can you post a screenshot?

SUCCESS!!! I also uninstalled all GPX consuming Apps and GC appears in the submenue. After then I installed these Apps again and GC is still visible.

    Thanks Boomcha!!!

That work for me to. But I have some apps with maps that I want on my phone. So I deleted them and then I could open gpx with connect again. The Ininstalled my apps again and the problem was back.

    who knows the solution?

  • There was an iOS GC 4.24 update this morning not sure if that helps

  • Make it worse for me ....

    Option disappeared again.

  • It still seems to be working for me on iOS 12.4.1 I think the share sheet has had a major overhaul in iOS13 which perhaps has produced an incompatibility that is not totally in Garmin's control to fix

  • Yes, it is 100% related to iOS 13. I never had a problem before iOS update.

It looks like the app has a problem accepting/registrating GPX files.
