Calendar notifications while not connected

Is there an app, widget or even setting on my Vivoactive 3 to use the calendar and get Calendar notifications on the watch, when not connected to the phone (iOs)?

Is there any other device with the same functionality, that could be fit for my 11year old son, to keep him reminded of the weekly schedule etc?

I am looking for a solution to this as well. I don't like having Bluetooth on except when I'm syncing my device.

Is there any progress on this? I have a forerunner 255S. I can see my calendar in the widgets overview on my watch, also when not connected to my Android phone (at least the latest version of my calendar that synced). I would like to be able to walk around my office without my phone (stupid new phone is too big for pocket...). And I would like for my watch to notify me when I have an upcoming calendar event.

Technologically, this is certainly possible, since I can already see the upcoming events in widget, even when out of range of my phone. All it needs is a functionality in an app on the garmin itself that gives notifications on the basis of this data?
