Can no longer fully quit GCM

Since the latest update of GCM I can no longer fully exit the app, it’s always running in the background eating my battery away although I haven’t allowed it to run in the background.

This is why I believe that:

-It starts instantly, no loading time what so ever

-when pressing synch on my FR935 it no longer searches for wi-fi networks, it starts to synch right away unless I put my iphone in flight mode, then the watch searches for wi-fi before synch as it did before the update

-iphone battery usage shows high background usage for the app

How can I stop this behaviour? I don’t want the app running 24/7, just when updating something or during Live Track

It seems to be back to normal now again in version 4.23

This issue is now back again after updating to iOS 13.3

I had the same issue. Turned out Location Services "always on" was the problem. I turned it off. The weather was never accurate anyway :-)

I`m afraid not, that is already set to Never

Edit: But hmm, I allowed it once to let GCM get location and then turned it off again and now it behaves as before again. Time will tell if it`s the permanent solution.

This issue is back again... C´mon Garmin, why do you always have to mess things up?
