How to remove "training status" from my Garmin Connect iOS view?

How to remove "training status" from my Garmin Connect iOS view? It's the most demotivating bit of information presented. According to the app, I'm in the 99th percentile for speed and distance so seeing ridiculous references to being unproductive or maintaining isn't what I'm looking to see.

  • If you mean the main home tab (My Day) then scroll down to the bottom and click on "Edit My Day" you can then remove whichever tiles you don't want to see. However if you are new to Garmin or have a new watch it usually takes 2-4 weeks for the Training Status to stabilize and understand your training routine, and typically needs to include outside running with GPS (although there are some other activities that can trigger it).

  • Guys please change the word unproductive to something else, who came up with that !

  • What would you call it?

For some reason the software seems to penalize longer runs.  My Training Status almost always shows “unproductive” after a longer run at a slower pace.  My VO2 max also goes down after longer runs at a slightly slower (-30 to 40 sec/mile) pace.

  • Totally agree. I have built my best base level fitness ever in preparation for  a marathon training plan and this 'unproductive' message is demotivating and, in my opinion outright wrong!
