Garmin Drive with iOS 13.2

Hi. I am not able to connect to the Garmin Drive app with my Garmin DashCam 66W.

I have iOS 13.2 public beta and iPhone Xs Max. When I am opening the Garmin Drive app and choosing my device, the app crushing and I am returning to the iPhone home screen. The iPhone succeed to establish a bluetooth connection but the app can't connect. I have v3.0 on my DashCam.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Just to be precise, you have 13.1 public beta 2.  iOS 13.2 isn't available in beta yet.

I had the same problem through iOS 13 beta 6 before I gave up and rolled back to iOS 12.  It’s still very stable on iOS 12.  iOS 13 will be released on 19 Sep 2019 but I’m not planning to update to it until I see that Garmin Drive will connect to it.

What I've learned from testing is that although iOS 13 beta will not ADD a dash cam to Garmin Drive it will MAINTAIN a connection that was done under iOS 12.  What I had to do was roll back to iOS 12 to add my dash cams back and then upgrade back to iOS 13.  I'm running iOS 13.1 beta 3 right now and the dash cams work fine in Garmin Drive.  But hopefully I never have to remove them.

This same problem is happening to other dash cam brands as well.  Blackvue dash cam forums are having the same complaints.  Reading the notes on iOS 13 beta there's some kind of security change to the communication protocols.  If I'm understanding their notes I think in iOS 13.1 beta 5 they're going to add some kind of legacy support.  Hopefully that will allow dash cams to be added until vendors (Garmin, Blackvue, etc) update their software to use the iOS 13 changes.
