Bug: in IOS, with a GPX file, the action "Copy to Connect" fails if Connect app is not already open

When I have a GPX file on my mobile device, and I click the action "Copy to Connect", it fails to enter the create course workflow if the Connect app is not open. Instead, it will simply open the Connect app. Then, if I perform the action a second time, the create course workflow is entered.

It would seem that the action "Copy to connect", if the Connect app is closed, would first open the app then enter "create course workflow".

Using Garmin 4.22.2.1, iOS 12.4

It works for me without any problems.
The connect app opens and enter in the create course workflow.
