I'm currently in a group from a local run store where we compete to reach 1000 miles by the end of the year. I was disappointed to find that the leader board for the the year totals could only be seen on the mobile app. The only way to track totals from the web app is to create a goal for the year, but it doesn't let you see where you stand compared to others in the group. It did however alert me to an issue with the leader boards. Starting in August, the leader board totals for the year were no longer including the mileage from January. We will see if this continues for September. I really wish Garmin would invest some time and money into the groups function. It seems like it could be really cool, and help them compete with Strava, but in it's current state it seems like they never really finished it.
