RHR algorithm change

I have a FR 935 which was recently updated to 13:30. I wear my watch 24/7, and previously RHR was calculated as an average of all readings during sleep, as documented here: https://support.garmin.com/en-GB/?faq=F8YKCB4CJd5PG0DR9ICV3A

However, the last 2 days calculations have started out "normal" (around 60), but at some point during the day, dropped to the essentially the lowest HR reading during the day (around 53). Which is actually what I prefer.

Anyone else experiencing this ?

  • In my 645 that’s always been the case. Just woken up my RHR is often much higher than the lower HR I reached during sleep. The day passes on and, usually the day after, I see the stats for the day before: my RHR is now shown as the proper (lower) value.

I hope the description makes sense Slight smile

That's interesting, as based on the link above - it should just take the average during sleep, as the final RHR value for the day. Mine has always done that, up until 3 days ago - so it was a very obvious change for me, without me doing anything :)
