Awesome, worked for me. Siri must somehow keep the suggested events in a queue somewhere, they didn’t show up on my actual calendar either, only in the widget. Once I disabled the Siri Suggestions it immediately…
Garmin is pulling in “Siri Suggestions” from iOS. To stop the random calendar events from appearing, disable that Siri Suggestion feature on your iPhone. Here’s a good link that explains how to do that…
I have the fenix 6X use iOS 13 and have the same problems. I use the Calendar Widget and have entries showing up that don't show up on any of my iOS Calendars.... I would surely like to know where the heck they are coming from, so any assistance would help! Thanks!

Unfortunately no, however, it only happens once in a great moon. I even telephoned CS and they had no idea either. Since I’m using an iPhone, CS suggested I consult with Apple CS the next time it happens, which I agreed to do. Note, this is a rare very infrequent issue, at least on my end, but when it does happen again, I’ll swing by my local Apple Store and see what they say.
Happy New Year everyone — Welcome 2020.....

Problem solved.
This would explain why CS suggested I contact Apple CS on the next occurrence. Thanks for the tip and article link. I’ve now turned that option off for my calendar. The really bizarre thing is, the occasional weird item that appeared in my Garmin Calendar widget, never appeared anywhere else, including my iPhone calendar app.
Time will if this is the true fix of fixes! Thanks again....

Currently experiencing the same exact problem with the Garmin Epix Gen 2. I'm receiving notifications on my watch about meetings from 4 years ago that do not exist on any of my emails/calendars. I had tried the recommendation below with "Siri Suggestions" to stop the random calendar events from appearing but this did not work. Are there any other suggestions on how to fix this? I have multiple calendar events showing up on my watch on a daily basis....
