My Garmin Edge 820 is requesting garmin Connect version 4.5 but the latest version available is 4.13.2.1. How do i get version 4.5 ? or at least pair my 820 ...
I'm having this same problem. And I hate to hold a purchase hostage, but I've been waiting until y'all fix this problem before I buy a set of Vector 3 pedals. Y'all need to fix this or I will dump Garmin as my primary fitness gear company. This is 100% unacceptable.
...so after an online chat, I’m told v4.13 etc is a later version than v4.5!!! ...they emailed me very clear if somewhat cumbersome instructions for pairing and it all works fine now ( despite still getting the message on the head unit that v 4.5 is required for the phone!)....
....oh and make sure you’re trying to pair to the correct Edge....I was confusing the Edge 820 with the Edge 820 Explore at one point....!
Not likely to get a response from Former Member as they have not posted in over a year. However, you can try simply power-cycling your device and/or syncing with Garmin Express. Otherwise you can try the more extensive list of steps here: Sync / Connection Troubleshooting Guide
I had the same problem. Couldn't find 4.5 so I removed the device then added it again and re-paired it. Seems to be working now as it uploaded my mornings ride immediately. Will see after the next ride
