How to update FTP in Performance stats

Hello. I use a Fenix 5 and am a regular cyclist and runner. I noticed that the Fenix 5 has given me a estimation of my FTP and have since done an actual FTP test.

Surprisingly the the figures are relatively close together. But that’s not the point of this post.

I want my FTP to show the true figure in performance stats in the app but I don’t know how to update it. I’ve looked at the user settings part in Garmin Connect on my desktop and have been able to change my FTP in Power Zones but this hasn’t been reflected in the performance stats section.

Ive provides a photograph for reference. It should say my FTP is 2.84w/kg but it’s still on the estimated FTP provided by my watch.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1409150.png
  • I have the same question.  I have manually inputted my FTP, but when looking at it through "Perfomance stats, it shows a different number.

  • Dear Crusby,

I have the same issue. I just had an improvement in FTP done via Traineroad, I have been able to update the bew FTP on my Garmin Edge 830, but the value shown under Performance Stats on my Android Garmin Connect app is still the older lower figure.

Have you been able to figure this out?

    Cheers,

    George.
