Gamin Connect not syncing over night

Former Member

Hello peoples,

I just bought my Gamin vivomove HR. One for me, one for my wife. I'm using Android, she's using iOS (Iphone 8). As of last night, the syncing worked perfectly on Android. On the iPhone though, after 10 o'clock we couldn't find any data in in the Garmin Connect app in the morning. Pressing the "Sync"-Button repeatedly didn't help too. Connection as is was fine, notifications e.g. came through.
So the question now is, are we missing something? There is no data between 10 pm yesterday and 6.45 am this morning (iPhone was used untill 10.30 pm and from 6.00 am on). We repeatedly clicked the sync-button in the app and on the watch, nothing worked though (took like 2-3 seconds where it said syncing, nothing afterwards though).
After 6.45am now there is data again, we're just confused where the data from the night went, as there's juist new data but no data for the night...

Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.

When i open up the Garmin Connect app on android that's connected to my watch, at the very bottom there's a card with the headline "sleep". That's completely missing on the iOS device that's connected to my wife's watch. Apart from that, when i click on the heart rate cardon android i can see my heart rate from somewhere yesterday (6pm, that's where i started measuring) till now. On iOS there's just a graph untill yesterday 10pm, then there's nothing, and then there's the graph starting again at 6:45. Same for the stress details view.
The vivomove hr has been worn throughout the whole night with more then sufficient battery power (> 75%), as stated before, in the morning (tried first at ~6am, tried multiple times then until 6.45) the sync also did not work (just didn't do anything).
  • On the Mobile Connect app there's an edit link at the bottom of My Day. Check if something is disabled. What happens when you go to web connect?

All the settings that i can enable here are enabled, "sleep" is also there and should be displayed.
What exactly is web connect or where can I find it?

ah thanks. there it says the same like in the app, data till 10:00pm yesterday, then there's a blue line at the bottom (probably because of "started sleeping") and then the data comes up again the next day at 6:45.
    yesterday:

    today:

no data before yesterday 6pm is ok, as i bought the watch yesterday and connected it for the first time at around 6pm

Ok, so this night it actually recorded the sleep. Problem now is, that the stress view tells me the following:
'It looks like you may not have worn your device to sleep on this day. Wearing your device both day and night will return the most consistent, accurate results.'
The corresonding view is attached as image. I don't really think that this is quite accurate, heart rate had an average of 60...
Maybe there's something wrong with the watch? Should i get a new one or is this a normale behaviour?
