Intensity minutes

How to get this to show all the time. Even though I have it as part of ‘my day’ presences, it only does sometimes. I am not able to find it elsewhere either when not sowing on the front screen
  • The intensity minutes reset at the end of each week, in my case a new week starts on a Monday which can be selected in settings.
Monday mornings I go for a reasonably energetic 30 minute / 1,600 metre swim which used to equate to around 15 intensity minutes even though I was working hard.
Recently I get no intensity minutes for swimming, so until I do a ride or run nothing shows up in my day for intensity minutes
Not sure if it’s the Connect app or Fenix5 v10 software at fault but it’s certainly annoying!!
  • Jonathan_Br for some reason known only to Garmin - intensity minutes are not logged for a swim. If you do a hard swim training session you will quite often get inensity minutes from the period just after the activity whilst your HR is still eleveated

Thanks for the info, it certainly explains the inconsistent behaviour for swimming, maybe it’s a marketing strategy for their tri heart chest strap????
  • Jonathan_Br Ah - no it's not - I have the swimming chest strap!!

Are you credited with intensity minutes for swimming when you use a chest strap?
  • Jonathan_Br no afraid not - there are a few other threads on this topic - seems rather daft but thats just the way it is at the moment

So Garmin believe swimming is not a high intensity activity!!

    Thanks again for the info
