Proper Activity Type For Tracking CrossFit Type Training

I am wondering what is the best activity to use when tracking CrossFit type training? I am a member of Iron Tribe Fitness where we do what I guess can be best described as a CrossFit style workout program. I have been using Cardio as my training type so far, but I am wondering if I should be using Strength Training or something else entirely to get a more accurate count of calories being burned during any given workout. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
