GCM-iOS

Hey all, just recently moved to iPhone. I'm running the GCM for iOS and am struggling with a few things...
1) How can I specify which apps are forwarding alerts to my Fenix3? On the Droid version I could specify which apps' notifications made it to the F3. I can't seem to find that on iOS.
2) How can I control music on my iPhone from the F3 now? I couldn't see a way to specify which app controls the music player. I used to be able to do this on the Droid.

I'm wondering if the abilities are not doable in the iOS version? Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks all!

You can't ... iOS doesn't provide that level of granularity for BTLE messages. If messages pop up on the iPhone, they are displayed on the watch.

I don't have a Fenix3 ... I use a Vivoactive 3 ... but you should be able to use the stock music widget to control playback. Here's a link to the music controls in the VA3 manual ... it should be similar in the Fenix 3. https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/vivoactive3/EN-US/GUID-BD2D8113-6953-49A8-B90B-BA7B1C3AB8EF.html

    1) Bummer! This is EATING my battery alive! 21% in one day!!! (Used to be 7-10% max)

    2) Thanks! Looks like I don't need to specify which app it will control.

Not sure how notification's would dramatically effect battery life. Try a different watch face. Those are notorious for draining battery.

True. It just controls the native iOS playback function.

My F3 would light up the screen and buzz for EVERY notice I would get. I had to tweak some settings on my iphone and it reduced it down a little. Still no where the level of control I had with the Droid GCM. :-(
