Garmin Connect - IOS, not syncing - Workouts OR Training Calendar?!

[h=2]Why does this keep getting marked as "Fixed" - Sending Workouts/Training Plans to devices?[/h] It's not - I have IOS 11 a Garmin 735XT and Garmin Connect app running on my iPhone.

Syncing a training plan is a nightmare, it's simply erratic, there is no process that simply works. It's incredibly frustrating as the day before a workout I get the plan and sometimes I'm wasting an hour messing about with trying to sync a workout.

I WAS able to sync workouts to the calendar and perform them that way, by making a work out in Garmin Connect iOS app, then scheduling that to the calendar via the calendar... This no longer works.

Now syncing a workout via the workouts "sometimes" works, I honestly cannot find one single method that just works.

Yes my IOS is up to date, yes I have Bluetooth turned on...

I've tried connecting my watch to my laptop to do the transfer, but this is 2018, can you not simply sync a simple workout or training calendar via Bluetooth, why is this so difficult?

Incredibly annoying for a $500 watch with crappy buggy software that's a "chance" at working. Simply NOT GOOD ENOUGH Garmin... sort it out.

The sticky thread "all issues are resolved" is incorrect.

    Same issue - the app appears to synch, but no data transfer. I can only synch via usb to garmin express. Was considering upgrading my 220, but seriously considering an apple watch.

    I've had problems with not being able to synchronize before , But last week I managed to transfer my data to another device
  • My Garmin 810 has just recently stopped syncing with my iPhone 7 over bluetooth. As soon as the two devices try syncing the Garmin hard crashes and switches off. My phone has the latest iOS on (11.4), Garmin Connect v4.7.0.14 the 810 is running v6.30. Is this being looked into as a wider problem considering many people here are experiencing similar issues?

    How difficult is it to maintain a working feature ?!?!

    Did the latest app-update (July 1) fix it for any of you? It worked for me (Forerunner 735XT) for one single time doi a test upload with a one-time workout. When I later tried to sync an entire workout plan, again NOTHING...

  • I cannot synchronize my VSHR with the app. It is impossible to customize anything, or set an alarm at all.
    I am a new user, had the VSHR since a couple of days...

    Want to echo the sentiment that it's really annoying Garmin Support keeps marking these threads as "fixed" - the problem is still out there. I spent more than an hour on chats with tech support yesterday and they were unable to resolve the issue on my forerunner 235. I can't sync the training calendar at all, not from the app, not from express...nothing. I've had the watch for three months. It didn't even get me through a full training plan before this started happening. Not what I'd expect for a $250 watch. Garmin is Garbage.

    This is a mess and I’ve already spent hours on trying to get the calender to sync to my Edge 520. It’s all there on Garmin Connect calender but it’s not showing up on the device’s calendar. And from what I can see this problem has been around for literally years – probably not going for the new 530 because of this.
