GPSMAP 64S - what does Garmin Connect do with this GPS?

I use my GPSMAP 64S for sea-kayaking. I used to be able to transfer recorded journeys with iOS Basecamp to my iPhone and then by email, etc to other services.

Can anyone enlighten me what Garmin Connect on iOS is supposed to do? I can't seem to be able to do anything like this...

Hey Arturus,

As far as I can tell, Connect iOS is able to push notifications to the 64s, and that's it. I use Connect to sync my Forerunner 920XT and automatically upload activities, but the 64s seems to be there for notifications only.
