Prior to the v9 upgrade, my edge 820 was connected via bluetooth to my iPhone. As soon as my ride my saved on the Garmin it would automatically sync to garmin connect and strava. Since the v9 upgrade (read downgrade) this doesnt happen anymore. I have deleted the bluetooth pairing and set it up again. Both my phone and edge 820 show connected, yet the saved ride doesnt sync. It will only sync via garmin connect on my laptop. Is this by design or a know issue as I find it rather annoying that a great function has been removed.
I'm coming to the end of my patience with the Gramin Edge 820. My 520 worked perfectly well with no pairing/synching issues ever. After hours of deleting and reinstalling the app on my iphone/s the 820 paired once after deleting the 520 completely from the GC app. However, the success wass short lived. I was able to pair the 820 once and the first time I tried synching again it failed to connect. I have again deleted the app and reinstalled without success. My vivosmart HR+ works without any issues. My iphones and 820 have the latest ios, updated GC and most recent FM on the device. I am getting to the point of selling this 820 and upgrade to a wahoo bolt. I would really appreciate the some assistance. (i have tried all the techniques described above on both an iPhone 8 and 5se)
Has anyone resolved this problem yet ?? My Garmin is synced to my iPhone but won’t upload my ride, I’ve deleted repaired and it still won’t upload, seriously getting angry with this now
