Garmin Connect App and Strava “network connection error” since recent Garmin update

Trying to link Garmin and Strava and in the Garmin Connect App when I go to settings, 3rd part applications and choose Strava I get an network connection error message. Tried all solutions I found online which were very few. Re install both apps, power down phone, power down WiFi. Any help would be appreciated
