Garmin express Mac crashes 60% of the times I open it

ugh. For years I’ve been using Garmin without having to mess with their terrible desktop app. Now that I’ve upgraded to the 645 music I’ve got to struggle with garmin express to try to get a few playlists and podcasts onto the watch.

My MacBook Pro is running high Sierra and I’ve updated the express app. FREEZE on first open. CRASH. Then can’t see one of the playlists I’ve transferred. Can see it in the app, says its on the watch but it isn’t. Try to power cycle watch restart app. FREEZE. FORCE QUIT. UGH.

Any suggestions?

UPDATE. Garmin express app now absolutely will not recognize the watch when I try to transfer music. It sees the watch and will sync other info but no to music. It’s really NOT ready for release to the public. I’d expect some of this in a beta but come on. I paid retail for this? I’m still having to use my phone for music.

  • Reinstall Garmin Express application. It has crashed once in two years on my Mac.

TrippyZ, I've done this, twice. 6.4.0 is a poor build. Crashes a lot. half the time it doesn't see my brand new 645m, then it won't transfer music... It's all in all a terrible, frustrating experience.

Today was the second morning I've spent over 45 minutes trying to get it to work and am just giving up. I'm returning the 645m tomorrow. It's a waste of money.
