View battery status of device on Connect App

Is it possible to view how much battery life is left on my device by looking at the app? It would be good to have a notification say when battery is down to 30% - for instance. Sometimes I lose track of my battery life until it’s too late. Is this something that could be incorporated? Thanks
  • I can agree it is an issue. Just charging my device next room and I'd like to be able to tell without going there physically whether I can already grab it and wear it.

  • For me, the main use case would be charging. I am charging my device next room and I'd like to be able to tell whether I can already grab and wear it.

  • EXACTLY!!!  MY GOD AI can't come fast enough .....at least we could get a reply or fix a jr high software add on!!!!!

  • Since I have the Vivosmart 4, I would like a the bluetooth indicator to show the battery level of the watch on the phone.  My earbud shows the battery from the bluetooth. menu and I don't know why the Garmin can't show the battery level also.  Ideally, the garmin app should be able to show a custom alarm at 25% battery level or a custom value level of the percent. The Vivosmart scroll display doesn't have the actual level in percent (which would also be handy) and a recharge point before you go for a long walk could remind you of a quick charge may be necessary.

  • I'd like watch battery level (Fenix 7 for me) to be accessible from the Garmin Connect API. My use case is I use Home Assistant and I would live to make a simple integration that has Alexa tell me to charge my watch when I get home if the battery is below 20%

Yes, the watch gives a vibration alert at that threshold, but if I'm out and about, I might forget to charge it until it's dead and I realize that. Having a way to poll the API and link in to Home Assistant would be awesome.

  • i stumbled upon the answer to this after searching everywhere for the answer. well, at least it's one way to check the battery status. when i plugged in my watch to the charger the battery icon popped up on the watch face. HOW SIMPKE! y couldn't they just tell us that?!

  • Yes, that will work, as does simply looking at the watch face with the battery indicator as one of the data fields (depending on the model of your watch). But I think the discussion here is around viewing the battery status on the Garmin Connect app.

  • yes, i agree. i'm just happy to have found a way at all! what is the battery life icon on the face of the watch? i wznt able to figure that out either. (no, im not really stupid, i just can't decide for sure and am not able to figure it out.)

  • what is the battery life icon on the face of the watch?

    Which model do you have?

    Some watches have this option.

  • vivomove 3s. i searched all kinds of places for it, even emailed the app ppl. hvnt heard back yet.
