I upgraded to iPhone 8 and now have two issues with my Forerunner 35. My phone and watch are synced, and updates are made to MyFitnessPal without a problem. After getting the new phone, I had to turn both on and off to get them working together.
First issue: Bluetooth. At times, I constantly lose Bluetooth connection, then it will be restored. This happens most often, but not exclusively when I am without my phone. Sometimes, this will go on for several minutes until I'm back in close range to my iPhone. The time between disconnect and reconnect is less than one minute, but the constant buzzing from my watch is annoying.
Second issue: smart notifications. I no longer get incoming calls, or email or text notifications on my watch.
I have NOT removed the Garmin Connect app from my phone and re-installed.
