Duplicate Activities in Health

The Garmin Connect App seems to write every activity again and again into apple health. One some days I have six times the same entry within apple health with same starttime and kilometers. I adressed support but already one week has gone by an no reaction.. bad performance :(
  • Hi, I've the same issue
in details GC sync all data to health (steps, hr, floor climb...) except distance (run and walking) and calories.
this two fields are full only when I start an activity but in this case the activity rewrite data more time :(

  • Sadly you are not the only ones. It has been so (for some people) since spring 2017.

I have written to support and all they have answered was that it's fault of Apple ...or as they put it:

"If Garmin Connect Mobile displays the data as expected but you still see errors in the third-party app, then that company’s API is either missing the data or not pulling it over correctly. For support in these scenarios, please reach out to the company who created the third-party app you’re using. Garmin does not open tickets with third-party developers regarding individual accounts."

They even failed to understand that it is them who is Third Party in regards to iOS.

I tried to make them understand that no other third party app with their watches and data doesn't create duplicate entries in Apple's Workouts app but it's like talking to answering machine which spits out recorded answers. Sad. So sad.

This would be a very poor statement. Other Companies like Polar know how to do it the right way. And it's writing the data to Apple Health and not apple getting the data from Garmin...
  • Until 23.59 garmin write all data in right way, when it has close the day, I don't how but it doesn't write distance and calories.
I don't know if I'm the only one or not
in the past I had an apple watch, I was wondering if this is the issue (maybe software conflict?)
I use Ios10, anyone is on ios11, is there the same issue?
  • Is there anyone can tell if you lost data (distance and kal) in health?
