Create new course does it have turn by turn navigation?

Hi,

I have a very quick question. If I create a new course on the iOS app and upload it to my Garmin Edge 520, will it have turn by turn navigation? In the past I have used Plot A Route to download a TCX file and upload that to the Garmin Edge 520.
