Unable to Send new/edited workout to device

Since today’s update (05 December), I am unable to send created/edited workouts to the device (Fenix 3). It shows no devices connected, and shows Fenix 3 As “Not Compatible” on Send To screen

Everything else works fine, syncing workouts, notifications, etc...

Hoping for a fix for this soon!
  • Same issue here with Fenix3. I charged it last night and since this morning I haven't been able to send workouts to it or upload them through the calendar via mobile device. If I do an activity the Fenix3 sends it to the mobile device and I can view it, but the Fenix3 still won't sync in the connect app, it says error trying to sync. It does receive and display sms and other notifications from the mobile device without issue.

    It also isn't sync'ing via garmin express when connected to the computer. I tried adding my workouts to the calendar then syncing with the device. Garmin Express shows that I have workouts and schedules to install on the device but it won't sync.

    Running the following:
    Fenix3 version 8.90
    Garmin express 6.2
    Pixel2 w/ Android 8.1.0
    Garmin connect 4.4.1

    Please fix this asap, I've come to rely on these workouts way too much apparently so I don't have to think as much when running :)

  • Same issue for me on my 735XT...everything but my workout will transfer. I have tried unsuccessfully from both the phone and Garmin Express to send to the device...but nothing works "Transfer Failed"...!!!
    I had the same issue last week, and after many attempts it worked then...
  • I'm experiencing the same issue--can't upload custom workouts (either via normal route or via calendar attachment) through Garmin Connect to my Fenix 5X.

    Fenix5X version 8.0
    Garmin Connect v4.4 (iOS)
  • Same issue with my Garmin 935, workouts no longer Sync via iPhone app Garmin Connect nor Desktop Garmin Express Sync?

    Same as me. 920xt(v9.7) and my workouts won't sync via iPhone app (v4.4) or Desktop Garmin (6.2)

    We are aware of the issue where workouts/Training Plans are not syncing to devices. We have posted a sticky at the top of this forum and will update that sticky when the issue is resolved. Thank you for the continued discussion and we apologize for any inconvenience.
