Unable to Send new/edited workout to device

Since today’s update (05 December), I am unable to send created/edited workouts to the device (Fenix 3). It shows no devices connected, and shows Fenix 3 As “Not Compatible” on Send To screen

Everything else works fine, syncing workouts, notifications, etc...

Hoping for a fix for this soon!

    hvigor, what type of workout are you trying to send to the fenix 3 HR? The fenix 3 HR is not compatible with all custom workout types.
  • Garmin-Joey I have the issue with Garmin connect (v4.2.2) on android to send workout that I used to send on FR620. Now I cannot send any workout.
    All I got is an error when sending the workoutciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1302917.jpg

    I have a brand new Fenix 5S. I am trying to start using it and am really unimpressed with this problem. I have created a workout in the mobile app and when I try sending it to the watch am also being told no device is connected and that the Fenix 5s is not compatible. I am only trying to save a run. What is the use of this over priced piece of crap if it can’t perform what to this new user is one of the most basic reasons for having it????? (Edit: my app is version 4.2.2.1)
  • I have a 935. I'm not able to send basic running workouts through the app to the watch. Any fixes? I know some people are posting that it's working for them. Everything is updated to the latest.

    I’m facing the same issue with my Vivosport and iOS GCM v4.2.2.
    Is there a specific list of compatible workouts with Vivosport or is this a bug?

    I have a similar problem with my Fenix 3. It appears that I cannot sync the "Strength" workouts with my Fenix 3, the device doesn't show on the list in the website (shows as incompatible and also on the Garmin Connect iOS application).

    I can transfer "Custom workouts" to the watch only using the Garmin express application. I have latest version of all firmware and software installed on the phone, watch and my desktop as follows:

    Garmin Connect app on iOS 11: 4.3.0.14
    Garmin Express on Windows 10: 6.1.1.0
    Fenix 3 software version reported by Garmin Express: 8.70
    Fenix 3 Unit ID: 3919121049
    Fenix 3 Display: 3.70
    Fenix 3 GPS: 3.10
    BLE/ANT: 3.60
    Wifi: 2.00 CIQ:1.4.4



    @Garmin Support, could you please kindly advise if Fenix 3 supposed to accept the Strength workouts ? This is a very important feature for gym and fitness training. Any advise is much appreciate.

    Khairulz The vivosport is not compatible with downloading custom workouts from Garmin Connect.

    Sadgad The fenix 3 is not compatible with downloading Strength workouts. This was a feature that was added to more recent devices such as the fenix 5 series.

    Any other user that is experiencing issues downloading custom workouts through GCM, it is recommended that you contact your local product support team for direct assistance with troubleshooting this issue.
  • The issue was resolved and now seems to be back :(

    Fenix 3 Version 8.70 / Garmin Connect iOS Version 4.4.0.19

    When I try to send a new or modified workout (for example running or cycling) I have the Fenix 3 in the "Not compatible" list.

    Garmin-Joey and Garmin can you please have a look?

  • I'm experiencing same problem. (FR935)

    After updating recent iOS Garmin Connect Mobile (iOS, v4.4, 9 March 2018).

    New Workouts created by the updated app cannot sync to device.

    Previous Workouts created before the update, and also Workouts created on Garmin Connect Web sync just fine.

    But before trying to sync again, do clear the stuck Workouts in the sync queue on GCW. Otherwise, nothing will sync.

    Same thing for me as most people here.

    I have a Forerunner 920XT and a brand new Fenix 5. Since Garmin Connect version 4.4 on iOS, can't transfer workouts created on Garmin Connect iPhone app to neither Fenix 5 and FR 920XT.

    Workouts from Fenix 5 to app get transferred, just the other way around doesn't work.

    PLEASE GARMIN RELEASE FIX ASAP!
