New iPhone X running iOS 11.1.2 and Edge 510 running software version 6.10 pairs but won’t connect. Bluetooth light on Edge just flashes. I power cycled phone and Edge, paired and re-paired Edge. Turned Bluetooth off on both and power cycled. I’ve run out of ideas. Any ideas?
Here is what I needed to do to get my Edge 820 and Fenix3HR to work on my new iPhone X. They both worked great on my iPhone 6 btw. First and fore most either turn off your old phone or turn off Bluetooth. When I initially had problems getting this work I didn't realize that I still had my iPhone 6 powered up and both my devices were connecting to the iPhone 6...
1. Removed both from Garmin connect app 2. Added them as new devices on the Garmin connect app on my iPhone X 3. Went for a run.
Step 3 is optional or you can substitute it for a bike ride :)
Thanks for the suggestion. I deleted the Edge from the Connect app, and deleted it from the bluetooth profile on my phone. When i went through the repairing process it was the same. The phone and Edge both act like they pair, i.e. I get a matching number to verify the pairing, and I get a notification that the phone wants to connect to the Garmin, but it never actually connects. The bluetooth indicator flashes constantly on the Edge, and the phone says not connected. When I look at the Connect app, there is no Garmin connected. My only other thought is that the bluetooth is shot on the Edge, and I'm just going to have to sync with my computer manually.
