Is anyone else getting the blank app icon on their iPad (mine is Air 2 with iOS 11.1.1) after updating to GCM 4.1.0.13 today? I’ve tried all the usual stuff: restart iPad, soft reset iPad (home+sleep wake button until reset), uninstall and reinstall GCM app; all to no avail. The app icon is fine on my iPhone SE and my work iPhone 6s Plus, so I think this could be one of those issues where the app devs haven’t included a correctly sized icon immage for iPad. ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1274836.jpg
Just installed my 3rd (maybe 4th, can't remember exactly) update since this problem arose and STILL have a blank icon on my iPad.......although my phone hasn't had similar issues.....go figure
This is probably because the Connect app is only made for iPhone. Just installed other app (that I know is only for iPhone) and it has also a blank icon. Should be iOS issue. Hopefully Garmin will relaase a iPad format for Connect (not a stretched version for iPad) should also solve the problem.... :-)
just installed Strava... same issue. Maybe 32bit apps could also be the problem. As per 01-01-2018 Apple does not allow 32bit apps anymore so it will be solved
It may be more pervasive than just Garmin .... I was talking to a friend who observed the same thing on some other apps. The one thing that's unique about all the apps is that they are all iPhone apps installed on a iPad.
since 2 1/2 month this is still a open issue. anyhow, STRAVA was able to fix it with the today´s update. So there is hope that Garmin will follow (sometime)
