Garmin Connect Mobile App and My Day Tiles

My wife has a Forerunner 935 and I have a Forerunner 235. We both have a iPhone 6 and we currently have the latest Garmin Connect App Version # 4.0.1.1...My issue is this...On my wife's phone, under My Day...the Heart Rate tile is a circular display with the heart rate displayed. On my phone, the Heart Rate display is a graph of up and down lines and my heart rate displayed on the side. (See pics) I would like to change my display to the circular style.
Does anyone know what has caused this....especially since we have the same phones and same version of the app? Is there any way I can change this?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated! ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1270424.png ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1270425.jpg
  • I suspect that you'll have to purchase a Forerunner 935. While this sort of defies Logic my experience with Garmin's programmers is that Logic doesn't matter. Fact is that I suspect that Garmin has contracted with a kindergarten somewhere to do their programming. If you want one example as to why, just look at how long it's taken for them to NOT fix the login issues on this forum.

BTW, I do not like the new My Day screen at all. I like to prop my Iphone up on the display pedistal when I am working on an Elliptical or Treadmill and watch the step counter. Also prop an older forerunner 15 next to it to act as a display for my heart rate. Obviously it would be nice to have the ability to set up the My Day screen to show live HR and Steps side by side in the top panel but we aren't allowed to do that. Instead what we get at the top of the My Day screen is a summary of the days workouts. Another thing I am not fond of is having to re-start Connect Mobile to get it properly synced after editing a workout or increasing my intensity minutes with an activity.

Actually the Intensity Minutes panel actually only rarely displays everything properly. Currently mine is showing 1630 Intensity Minutes but the moderate and vigerous panels are blank and the goal is showing 150 instead of the 600 weekly goal I have set. At some point it will probably start showing something but who knows when that will happen.

Final flaw is that Connect Mobile still has the time messed up by the recent Daylight Savings Time changeover. As a result the HR detail graph isn't working at all and past experience has shown that it will take about a month before Garmin realizes it needs to reset the time sync for all these widgets. Note, this particular flaw is also present on the web Connect application. Except with the web version you can see your HR graph with the time indicator being ONE HOUR out of sync with the time displayed at the top of the screen for that graph.
